Resolved Laptop cover Issue

    Hello, I was not sure what catagory to put this one under.
    When I open my lap top, the screen blinks and go out when I open it all the way. I have to play with it and the screen comes on only when its open about 2/3 of the way. Something loose or is it a vidio card? I was getting a window before about sigmant c?????

    Would appear to be a problem with the connection between the laptop cover/screen and the body of the computer - either a faulty wire or contact, depending on the method used.
    The full error message would be helpful.

    Yes, I was getting a picture before the Sigmant c. Guess I open and close too much. The Sigmant C would come up after Internet Explorer would close the program I was in saying there was a problem with It and then the Sigmant C would come up.
    Is the cover Issue something a rookie (me) could fix?

    Sorry to say that investigating/rectifying that apparent hardware problem is beyond the scope of a rookie - unless you feel adventurous :)

    You would need a copy of the repair manual - which may be available on the internet, but without the make/model no. of the laptop I can't help there.

    Are you sure of the detail of the Sigmant C message? - Gogle throws up no relevant hits on Sigmant C

    The Tech. who repairs my puters said he never heard of it when I asked him about it.
