 I am working on a computer .. OS = Windows ME. There were some problems using the internet which I cleared up. There was also a problem with the Anti Virus program which cleared up when I uninstalled it. The errors continuing are in trying to start Classic Solitaire and when running Windows MediaPlayer. All other games work fine. When starting Solitaire it gives the message: Sol has caused an error in KRNL386.EXE. Sol will now close. Windows MediaPlayer will play audio CD's but on exiting the program, it displays the message: Wmplayer has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL Wmplayer will now close. The error message dialogue box will not close at this point and the computer needs to be rebooted. At this point it will often give a Fatal Error blue screen and on reboot an error for Spool 32 displays. Rebooting again clears that error. Where do I go from here? I would appreciate any words of wisdom. Thanks

If you post the exact error, word for word in totality ; we could possibly help you.
However ; in my experience, when you have problems with the kernel the best thing to do is salvage what data you can (backup) and then format and clean install.

You could try a dirty install, reinstalling windows me over itself. Note that if you do this you should still back up your data and be prepared to reinstall any programs which do not function after the reinstall since you will get a clean registry(you could export your registry and save it too and then merge it back once you do the over the top install , this often works to make it so you do not have to reinstall the programs provided you do not have any registry problems).
