    [Resolved] Just got this: Virus?

As my computer was idle on Facebook, an offical looking dialog box poped up and read at the top.

    "File Down Secuirity Warning "

    name: explorer.exe

    type: Application, 0.98MB

    From: C:\WINDOWS

Then the choice to run, save, cancel

    I did a quick search and found I already had a "explorer.exe "

I held down the Alt key and hit the F4 key to get rid of the dialog box.
Did I do the wrong thing? was/could this have been a virus or the real thing.

I took a screen shot, I do that when strange things pop up, just to have on hand.

    Thanks Gary

Yes it was "File Download "“ Security Warning

I tried the first method it went smooth, but it did not work (put the folder back to where it should be)

The second method on step 4 I got stuck. I went to step 5 and the T.I.F. folder had ie5 in it, went to step 6 and there was no security tab, so I stopped there.

In internet options under advanced I have had "empty T.I.F. after leaving browser" checked off for some time.

When I clicked on view T.I.F. there they were, shouldn't they have been removed?

It's 3am gotta get to bed

    Gary
