Just an informal greeting

Every once in a while I have a problem with my computer. (Like the rest of you, no doubt!) And I hope to find some of the answers to some of my questions in this forum.
I have just had to reformat my hard drive because of a virus and now I have added protections (using MacAfee Security Center software and other fine software I've used for years) to my computer to try to STOP all the BAD GUYS from taking advantage of my internet use!

Reloading Windows programs seemed to go fairly well, but my computer is running a bit slower than I had hoped it would and it's partially because of the added security I have imposed on myself, I'm pretty sure.

By the way, I really don't like emoticons so I don't expect that you'll see me using many of these -- at least not very often!

In any case, it's good to make your acquaintance and I'll try not to be too much of a bother! (Only when necessary!)
