Ramona, since you're the resident guru here for Mozilla, do you have a solution to the javascript problem that nobody seems to be able to resolve in mozillazine--that at some sites, Firefox/Moz can't seem to recognize the javascript commands on teh webpage?

This doesn't happen very often, but often enough so that I installed the extension that lets you load a link or page on the right-click menu in [gasp] IE. An example would be the following:

    http://pregnancy.about.com/cs/pregnancycalendar/l/blpregcalc.htm

When I click on the Calculate button, nothing happens, whereas in IE, I get the table w/ a calendar.

Now the only answer (in varying degrees of patronizing sarcasm) I get in mozillazine forums is that this is due to web designers creating pages with MS products that utilize active x and other proprietary technology, which creates the situation I find myself in--that only IE reads the page properly. In other words, there is simply nothing to be done about it, but email the webmaster (no links I could find on about.com), and avoid the page.

I'd prefer a workaround so that I can access all the information on these pages. Is there one?

You'll be getting cards (on the holiday of your choice) from me forever if you can take care of this..... :p

EDIT: Actually, anyone is welcome to answer this post. I just figured my chances of getting Ramona to respond were better if my post were personalized. :D

    Hi Paul,

I do wish I had the magic workaround for you, but afraid those Mozilla folks are right on with their assessment of that site. I could access the Calender with Opera and IE, but could not with any Netscape/Mozilla browsers.

    Sorry... :(

    Ramona :)

Thanks anyways. It was worth a try. Doesn't matter, I still like Mozilla.
