Irq_not_less???

Hello there i tried formating my new PC and put two partition, drive c: is win98 and i tried to install winxp (home edition) in drive d using its setup. but during the installation i receieve an error regarding IRQ_NOT_LESS etc. and say disable some caching and shadowing and contact your vendor. i tried using different xp software but still same error occurs. please help me i thought that XP is a really good one. Thanks!

First off, welcome to windows-help.

Take a look Here for the sort of detail we would need to help track down this problem. You also might want to do your own search rather than mess with posting back all those numbers but they will be needed. The error just has too many possible causes and all those extra numbers help say what the problem might be.

Also some hardware detail would help.
