AVG has recognised it, but wont remove it, nor will TREND housecall.
how do i remove it, also after disabling system restore to run housecall, when i go back to reactivate it... it already is ?

the first i noticed problem was when my outlook started returning the same emails i had run norton antispam on, and then they started coming back two fold I.E. the same mail duplicated, even if i deleted them ?
have done a trojan check to reveal nothing, and went to check email through mozilla thunderbird only to find difficulty in d/loading 1st of 36 probably like before duplicates of spam.

    any help thank you

Are you sure about a spelling of that trojan.
    Isn't it "IRC/Backdoor.SdBot "?

norton online has revealed no virus or trojan, but did not check compressed files?

yes i have spelt it right, and AVG still finds it? irc/backdoor.sdl

Newt... Have you tried from safe mode with no internet connection?

    Tried what?

My biggest frustration apart from AVG finding irc/backdoor.sdl
is my spam bbeing multiplied each time i open it, norton antispam will detect it, i will empty spam folder and delete yet each time i open there it is again???

    Thank you :)

ah ha this is an edit to this note... where AVG detected irc/backdoor.sdl i noted it was in kazaa d/load folder so i deleted latest key gen and cracks for nero and zone alarm pro and now AVG dont find anything.
    Q. does the fact i have used keygen and cracks for progs, mean my system is infected by something? I.E. to give me my email problem? but AVG and Norton now dont detect any virus or worm?
jeeeeez i can never understand this stuff.
downloaded infected keygen or crack, used it to succesfully get prog working, prog is fine even though keygen and cracks were not?
and whats happening to my email :(

ah well some success is better than none :)

There is mention of an update fixing a false possitive
use the search to the left rather the the viri data base
searched for "IRC Back Door "
    "563 Fixing false alarm IRC/BackDoor.SdBot.AEO" January 17, 2004
If your still in doubt try a trail trojan program or online scan
Not sure about the email problems,,

we do not discuss crack's here at windows BBS

    read rule ten http://www.windowsbbs.com/rules.php

Ooops big time about the admission on cracks etc, just thought id let you know i have remedied AVG finding virus, and also risked influx of spam again, only to find the same is happening again.

can someone please tell me what to do about this spam problem as each time i open mail the amount of spam is increasing, im going to get to a point where i cant open my mail anymore??? :(
