Not sure where to post this puppy but have some questions. Background Info - My ISP (BellSouth) recently changed some DNS addresses and sent emails to those with specific DSL modems regarding required manual changes and/or firmware upgrades to accomodate these changes. I was not among those but I am aware that they are making some equipment changes.

I have made no changes whatsoever to my own equipment (neither hardware or software or settings) but am now having problems that I believe are ISP issues with mail delivery. I have 3 different POP3 accounts configured with two different providers, all dumping to the same Outlook Express user. All is configured correctly and I have been 3+ years with this exact same setup, regardless of machine used. I just started (within the week) experiencing problems with some mail showing as sent but never arriving at its destination.

At the same time, I am having problems with MailWasher Pro v5.3 deleting mail from one of two ISP mail servers (not BellSouth). Despite numerous saved password resets in both MW and OE, the problem (intermittant) continues.

Coincident with these problems was an upgrade to IE7 but I am getting the same general behavior with IE6 on another machine using the same setup.

A well informed knowledgeable source told me that BellSouth is currently deploying/upgrading major switches to handle IPv6 longer term and that this is probably related to converting IPv4 protocols. Does anyone know what the scoop is? I'm also told that BellSouth is not alone in this regard and that there are some serious issues currently affecting several ISP's along with the Internet in general.

My current game plan is to sit tight and see what happens but any insight that anyone can provide would be most welcomed.

    ;)

    Hi Rockster

This seems more like General Internet to me so I moved your thread there. If you're not happy with that I'm sure you will let me know :D
