    Hi all,
I'm desperate here - I have been trauling the internet for *months* trying to get this thing working, but have been unable to find a successful solution. For some reason my Omiz bluetooth keyboard doesn't work with my iPaq 2490. I'm able to setup the connection between the two devices through Bluetooth manager (so I can see they're actually connected) but the iPaq won't recieve input from the keyboard.
Anybody have any idea how to fix this? The iPaq is running Windows mobile 5.0

(I'm unable to find any decent iPaq forums on the net, and I've found help here in the past so I'm hoping that yet again I can get my answers here!)

    Hi Snape,

Those are pretty specific pieces of hardware (thrown in with Windows Mobile 5...which I've never used ).

Can you direct us to information about the hardware? (Save us researching what you probably know already.)

What are your gut-feelings? I doubt any of us will have similar setups.

Story...ZZZZZZ!...My daughter wanted to transfer a file onto my phone. She said it took three settings to do it, I think it was, activating Bluetooth, finding Bluetooth connections then allowing my phone (read Hardware) to allow it to be connected to.

Bluethooth, don't ask me, but try asking a teenager (generation Y) :D

    Matt

Here is the keyboard in question (first one listed)
    http://www.omiz.net/new/products.asp?cat=2
Note that there is no firmware download for this keyboard and in any event, I'm certain the issue is not specifically with the keyboard but the setup on my iPaq: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/ipaq-hx2490.htm

A previous keyboard I had (which I ended up throwing in the bin due to some folded metal on the back) was equally as difficult to setup, but I can't remember what the catch was or how I fixed it. It was something most odd, like most things I'm finding out about my iPaq - there is simply no support and half the devices conflict with each other most of the time. Frustrating!
    I have had issues with:
    Sound suddenly disappearing altogether
    Tomtom not working
    Keyboard not working

I solved the first two, I just wish I could solve the last!

The closest I have come to finding something online is here (although it's not a Windows/iPaq solution, it's the same problem etc):
    http://www.internettablettalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12660&page=3

It's most frustrating, and I don't know if anybody here can help me or not - even a link to a useful forum would be most helpful.

(Oh BTW, hello from a fellow Sydney-sider!)
