    Hey,
I am sorry if this is the incorrect forum.

While helping my sister re- install an ethernet card that for some reason stopped working, we ran into a problem while re booting the computer. The Windows splash screen came up followed by this message.

Invalid VxD dymamic linkcall from VSDATA95(01)+0014F88 to device "0028 ", service 800A. Your win Configuaration is invalid. Run Win setup program to correct this problem. To continue running Win press Y or enter. After pressing enter, we got the following message: While initializing device VSdata95: Windows protection error. Please restart.

We reinstalled windows over the exsisting Windows. Tried to reboot and failed.

System specs: AMD K62 300 MHZ 64 megs of ram, unknown mother board. Windows 98 SE. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi cdlcrash
Welcome to the boards. Any chance you had Zonealarm? Perhaps this link will help?
