When trying to start IE the following message appears.
Iexplore has caused an error in <unknown> Iexplore will now close. I hit ALTD and get this definition
Iexplore executed an invalid intruction in module <unknown>
    at d6a4: 0077 dffl
What can I do to resolve this issue. I am running ME and i have tried to install IE6 sp1 and get another error message.

    west405--First, try IE Repair Tool. Start|Programs|Accessories|System Tools|System Information|Tools|click Internet Explorer Repair Tool|Wait.
You might reboot after this and then see if things are OK.
If not, some of the ideas here might help

assuming you can access sites on the Internet. :p

Hi abcd3fg - and Welcome to the board :)

Depends on which version of IE are you running - and which OS. Repair methods differ, especially in XP with IE 6

    For XP look here :

    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;318378 or

    go Start > Run > type in rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir% \ Inf \ ie.inf

In 98 with IE 5.x > Add/Remove Programs > scroll down to Internet Explorer > Remove and a dialogue box should pop up with a repair option.
