Hi, I have a piece of malware which proved a little difficult to get rid of (by my standards, at least) and it has left me with a restriction in Windows Explorer that I can't suss-out.

When I try to access the FOLDER OPTIONS from the TOOLS menu I get a restriction notification. Rather irritating when I need to setup some file associations. Does anyone know where in the registry the entry that effects this policy is and what the key should be?

    Thanks in advance:confused:

    It'll be in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ policies \ Explorer

    Just delete the NoFolderOptions entry.

    Search the registry for NoFolderOptions.
