Internet Explorer Keeps Closing

I am using IE 6 and when for example I am on Ananova.com and trying to use the virtual newscaster when I click on it and hit high bandwith I immediately get the error message "IExplore has caused an error in kernel32.dll ". I ran WINDOCTOR on my system after three of these messages and restarting the computer - and it found no errors in my system.

Please advise on how to correct this problem.
