As stated, on my dad's internet explorer box, the internet explorer application has become almost unusable. It'll hang when loading pages (can't click anywhere), and almost always freezes on certain pages such as when you sign into your gmail account.

I've included the hijack this log file for this machine if someone could help me take a look at it and see if there's something that I might have missed. Thanks guys.

Hi hhhuang
Welcome to windowsbbs

Not much showing in your log. Any Idea what this is?

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ufagent] ufagent.exe

How long has it been that you cleaned out temp files? or did a Defrag and CheckDisk?

Let me know.

Yea, tried most of those things. Actually I'm not sure what that is. I'll look into it. I'll reply back with my findings.

Hi
OK let me know what you find out about that file.

Then lets run this and see if it will show anything.

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
• Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
• When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Please post the ComboFix log.

Hi Geri,

Thanks again for your help. When I run ComboFix.exe, I receive a

swreg.cfexe - Application Error:

The instruciton at "0x7c9111de" referenced memory at "0x4f444e49 ". The memory could not be "read ".

I cannot seem to locate more information about ufagent. Doesn't seem like anything "useful." Should I clear our the registry entry?

Hi
Hi
It may have been a bad download, I'm still waiting on the maker to address it.
In the mean time, please delete the one you downloaded and download it again.
Then try to run it. let me know.

Thanks
Geri

Hi hhhuang

Please try and run ComboFix in safe mode.

To Reboot into safe mode.
Restart your computer and as soon as it starts booting up again continuously tap F8. A menu should come up where you will be given the option to enter Safe Mode.

Thanks
Geri
