internet explorer download window

    when you download in ie by rightclick, save as, a dialog box appears, and you are asked to name the file. in this dialog box, you can scroll dow through all the old names of downloads... how can I clear that list?

    Go to the folder that the old downloads are in and delete them.

    Run:
    regedit (or regedt32 in XP).

    Find HKEY_USERS and Find (under Edit) all instances of OpenSaveMRU.
    Delete these keys (they will be rebuilt).
