When I try to install new software to my system from CD the InstallShield Wizard gives the error message "Error 1335. The cabinet file "data.cab" required for this installation is corrupt and cannot be used." I know that it's not a problem such as a faulty CD. Can anybody help?

    Hi, Welcome to the WindowsBBS!

    As to your question:

This error can be caused by dirty media, CD-ROM read issues, or problems with memory allocation.

If you can rule out a dirty CD, try to copy the contents of the CD-ROM to your hard disk, and install from there.

Rebooting the system could help if it's a memory allocation issue.
