Am getting with great frequency the error msg that "program has perfomed an illegal operaton" and the system is frozen. Only Ctrl,Alt Del gets the system unfrozen but disrupts online connection. This generally happens when clicking 'next' or 'more' etc from one page to another within a web site. Thanks in advance for any guidance.

    Hi again august888
If you could hit the reply button at the bottom of this page, rather than using the PM feature, that would be wonderful. Thanks. :)

That's not a whole heap of ram these days. So, my first thought would be to free up every available resource........starting by going to :
    Start
    Then to run
    type in: msconfig
    Click ok
Go to the start up tab
Uncheck any unneccassary apps from loading at start up. Click apply......ok......and then let it reboot.
You can compare your list against this .

If you have any questions....don't hesitate to post back.
