    Hi Folks,

I changed my wireless router and installed the FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7050 which like the previous one is connected directly to the main system. Everything else is fine, but it does have a negative side which bugs me. With the former one it was not possible to Ping my system i.e., it remained silent, but that is not the case anymore.

Can you suggest me how to disable the ability or simply ignore and remain silent when pinged?

    Regards - Rista

You need to configure your router to not allow ICMP requests to come in from outside. Check the manual for instructions.
