I get the following dialogue box when launching Acrobat 9 Pro. Acrobat.exe - Unable to locate component.
This application has failed to start because ieurtutil.dll was not found. Re installing the application may fix the problem "
This msg appears about 3 times before actually launching the app. I have downloaded the dll & placed it in windows/system32 but then i get another error saying "The ordinal 685 could not be located in the dynamic link library iertutil.dll" & then the app launches after pressing OK a few times.
System restore fails I have tried uninstalling then re installing the app but I still get the message.
I have never tried installing ie7 so i know it doesn't have anything to do with that.
I think my problems started when i installed the latest Klite codec pack, I tried uninstalling that but it did not help.
    Any ideas would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    Welcome to WindowsBBS :)
Implying that you are still running IE6? This has more security holes than the Titanic and I strongly suggest that you install IE8 and see if the problem is resolved.

True but I use Firefox mainly thats why I haven't bothered upgrading.
I have managed to do a restore from safe mode which has fixed that problem but introduced another Adobe related which I should be able to fix.

Thanks for the update - even if you use IE only occasionally my recommendation stands :)
