Had a sasser w32/rahack!htm virus removed.
Before removal, connection to www slowed considerably and some browser addresses would not open with window appearing-Internet explorer cannot display this page. When refreshed most pages would open.
Since virus has been cleaned,am still having same problem.
    Anyone help.

Are you sure you are still clean? Have you run the scan again to make sure? Have you done any online scans also?

Thanks for reply MrBill.Have run McAfee and AVG scans. Both show virus free.Downloaded Firefox and it wouldn't load pages first up until I clicked try again.Once it transferred information from the site I am getting no problem loading pages straightaway. Will this occur with every address I visit?

Do you have McAfee and AVG both on your PC? If so, are they both active at the same time? Hope not as this can/will cause a conflict especially when doing updates. One will think that it is a virus coming in on the update your are doning on the other and will delete it and you will not really be updated properly. You can have as many as you want to but only one (1) active at any time. Same is true for Firewalls. I don't frequent the board that I am going to give you a link to as much as I used to because is has to many kiddies on it now. Used to be a great board about 2 or 3 years ago. There are some good FREE scans and are proven true here. http://forums.g4tv.com/messageview.cfm?catid=64&threadid=192397 Just scroll down the page. I used to have them all saved, but wiped my PC Clean and didn't save them as they were to easy to get back to. I would also run a couple of the trojan/malware scans also.
