ie6 error message

    I have had a problem with ie6 for ages and have not been able to get advice on how to overcome it. It starts with the message 'encountered problem and needs to close' Sends error report (which has never been replied to) then closes and reopens. This used to occur seemingly randomly so I switched to Firefox and now use ie only on occasions. I then get the message every time I close it.

    Because I have windows 98SE I cannot instal ie7. I will try what you recommend when I work out what the add-ons are!
