I have IE 6.0, running on XP. Half the time or more when I start IE, it is only a few seconds until it gives me the message that it has encountered a problem and must close. The details mention winet.dll. All the mentions of similar problems I have seen on boards mention spyware, but I have run AdAware and removed a bunch of data mining files, all it found. I run Gozilla as my primary browser, but some pages only function with IE. Should I re-install IE? Thanks.

Get SpyBot to , its much more thorough, delete all it finds, user tracks are optional but everything else have it remove even the ones where you are prompted at each .
start it in advanced mode ( after of course update) instead of hitting
the check for problems, click on SpyBot icon, over to the right near bottom files sets, arrow ,select all available then check for problems

Should already be that way by default , afterwords , it only has
some items checked ,check mark the rest except if you choose not to user track;s .then do the scan
Then check out the immunize page..

Edit--- I run Gozilla as my primary browser----------
Thats wierd !! didnt know they had a browser,, I knew about there download utility's (worst mistake I had ever made)
They cant be trusted ,, I cant believe people use there password software either ,why trust them most of there past software included spyware who knows what else..

Get rid of it even if Adaware and SpyBot find nothing

    Good luck
