You know how if you type just `yahoo` into your address bar and hit Ctrl + Enter it takes you to http://www.yahoo.com and the same with any site ending in .com, well I was wondering if there is any known way of making another one, such as shift and enter, so when you type `yahoo` then hit shift + enter you go to www.yahoo.co.uk

    Anyone know?

    Thanx

    Geordie,

Any web page (almost any) can have a shortcut, directly to it.

1 - Go to a web site that you want to access easily.
    2 - Right-Click on that page.
    3 - A menu opens - select, Create Shortcut.
4 - That places a shortcut to that web page, on your desktop.
5 - Go to your Desktop.
    6 - Right-click on the Shortcut.
7 - Select Properties from the menu.
8 - The Properties dialog box appears.
9 - Click on the Web Document tab. Not the General.
10 - Click in the shortcut key box. It should read None.
11 - Select the one letter, number or symbol that you want to be the third key, in this set of Hot Keys. Example: Alt, Control and F
12 - Just type that one character here. *Note*: if you should select the wrong key, just type the correct key - no deleting necessary.
    13 - Click Apply.
    14 - Click OK.
15 - Test your new set of Hot Keys by pressing, Alt, Control and the character you selected.

NOTE: You can create a set of Hot Keys for other things in your computer too. Such as music files, graphic files, dial-up access, utility programs, Zip drives, floppy drives, and hard drives. For storage devices to have Hot keys, you must first have a shortcut for it on the desktop or in a folder.

Ok, that should do it - have fun computing.
