Using IE 7, Windows XP home SP2, when viewing some web pages, IE says "cannot display the web page" however most of the page is being displayed with message bleeding through in several different areas. How can I correct this?

Don - Welcome to the Board :)

May well be that the website in incompatible with IE7 - post a URL or two and I'll check them out with my IE7.

If I can view them we'll start looking elsewhere.

Not sure what or where to find a "URL ". This happens with several page I try to view like Kelly Blue Book, and the one I did today which was Infoworld.com
I did make a screenshot of the page if that would help.. Thanks Pete.

The URL is the website address - http:// www.************** shown in the Address Bar at the top of the window in IE 7.

I was able to view the home pages of the two sites you posted without a problem, although I do not see some of the ads as I have software set up to block those.

Post the screen shot - you will need to post on another site, e.g. Photobucket and post the link (URL) of the page here. Only Contributing Members can post attachments to posts on the BBS.

The areas in which you see "cannot display the web page" are where banner ads, etc have been blocked by your security settings either in IE or in your firewall/antispyware.

For example in the attached screenshot the "cannot display the web page" is sourced from ad.uk.doubleclick.net - doubleclick.net is barred on my computer.

    Thanks Pete.
