Having a problem with IE6 in XP..Seems I am getting incomplete pages when I go to sites at the bottom it will say done although I don't have a complete web page. For and example if you go to to www.google.com ...When page is done loading you have Just the Word Google at the top but you never get the search bar...
Also getting half or one quarter of pages. Wierd... I would also like to know how to remove IE6. I want to have IE5.5 instead but there is nothing listed in Add/Remove Programs for IE6.
    Thanks for your help...

Check your Security settings. It sounds like you may have it set a little too tight and it's rejecting some stuff you need.

As for uninstalling IE6, it's not meant to be easy. Do a search of the MS KB and they have specific instructions there. I don't have immediate access to the lnk but I'll post it back later.

    Good luck.

edit: Here's the link http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q318378 They explain that although you can't uninstall IE6 from XP, you can edit the Registry and affect the equivalent of a new install.
