    Good day to all.

Well, it started a few days ago. I was just chatting and suddenly, i noticed all my icons were gone. i mean everything, from desktop to quick launch. Even when i click start, everything there was gone. so i just restarted. and then.. When checking for my Hard Disk, it cant detect my hard disk all of a sudden. so i waited for a while and everything was okay. however i noticed that even though almost everything is back, some icons are still missing as shown in the pictures. Do you guys know what's wrong?

Also the not detecting the Hard Disk.. do you guys have any idea about this? I've experienced this 3 ~ 5 times now. im getting concerned.

    Please Help me.. Thanks

    -Tomoe

This problem can be caused by "˜malware’ but try this first:
Go to Start > Run, type regedit and press Enter. In the left pane navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon.

In the right pane, make sure there is a REG_SZ named Shell and it has a value of "explorer.exe" (no quotation marks). If it’s not there create it by clicking Edit > New > String Value then right-click it and key in explorer.exe then restart the computer.

If Start is missing, open regedit via Task Manager by pressing Ctrl + Shift +Esc then on the Applications Tab click "˜New Task’ at the bottom, type regedit.exe and press Enter.
