I have Windows XP on my computer. I have a dictionary icon on my desktop. But I can’t seem to drag that icon to the left side of my taskbar. When I drag it down it springs back up. How could I put it on my taskbar? Thank you very much. Stang

    Is your taskbar locked?

Right click on an empty space of your taskbar, in the popup menu untick "Lock the taskbar ".

Now try to drop your dictionary icon on it and let us know how you get on.

Guessing that you're referring to the "quick launch" part of the task bar...Maybe after unlocking the taskbar you need to drag the little divider to make room for another icon.
