All of a sudden, for some unknown reason, when I shut down the system and then do a cold boot I lose one of my desktop ICONS. I can go back and do a restore to the previous day, when I wasn't having this problem, and the ICON shows up ok. As soon as I shut down the system and restart, the ICON is missing. Is there someway I can find out what's causing this problem?

The most likely cause is some minor corruption in the files associated with the ISP network connection.

The best I can suggest is to re-install the software from your ISP.

Thanks! I had a funny feeling that was going to be the simple way to solve my problem.
