I'm back with a new problem. After moving to a new PC with a new OS and with Romona's sage advice, I thought all was AOK. But . . .

There's one problem I didn't see at first. When I try to send an email or acknowledge a "return receipt" I get an error. NS mail appears to being sent but I get and "Alert" which reads " An error occured while sending mail. The mail server responded: <anyaddress@atanydomain>: Recipient Address rejected: Relay access denied.
Please check the message recipients and try again. "

If I use my dialup through the ISP I'm dropping when my subscription is up, the mail goes through. My new ISP is Comcast, but while the tech says NS will work, Comcast only supports IE use and therefor he can't help me.

This has driven me almost to the point to where I was rerady to cave in and go to IE and the dreaded Outlook Express combo.

    Any ideas anyone?

Some ISP's only allow sending through their SMTP server when you are logged on with that ISP. Could that be the case here? You may need to use Comcast's smtp server when sending, if not already. If you could give us more information, such as:

It sounds like you need to specify a second SMTP server for use with Comcast in your account properties.

As an aside, I tire of hearing "we only support OE ". The situation you are describing could happen with ANY mail client..., and doesn't require "supporting" a particular product but does require a simple exchange of information. Sigh.

Thanks. That's what the problem is. So until I get my web site moved and notify folks of the move, I'll just have to use the dial up when sending.

    I appreciate the info.
