HP Printer

    Hope I am in the right forum. I have WIndows ME and a 952C HP printer (part of 950 series) I have had problems with this printer since I got it. I originally had a parallel cable and was suggested to change it to a USB cable. My latest problem was trying to print something from the internet. I contacted HP (not long have any forums) and was told to make a folder c:\\dj930...no can make any folder with these characters. Wrote back to HP that I have a 952 which was in my original message to them and then they gave me new instructions and I ended up with no printer at all after about a 45 minute update. I then installed the parallel cable again because the USB instructions didn't work. I still cannot print particular internet information (not all but some)
    Can someone maybe help me with an easier answer. When I look for an upgrade for this series it doesn't show any. Hoping someone may have had this problem and can solve it. Wonder why they dropped their forums.:(

    HP Printer 952C

    While browsing the web I decided to go back to HP and look at the business forums. I didn't know if I could get into them since I am a home user and that is a different window to enter. Someone had the same problem and the answer was so simple I couldn't believe it. He suggested 2 things and thought I should put them in this forum.. I was not alone with the problem.
    One was to go into I.E and click view and deselect the check in auto select....the other was to remove a font called BDenver with comes with with a bonus software on 930 & 950 series. Well I did both an printed the problem page. People on these forums know more that the techs.
