Hp printer

I just installed w2k, Issue is that the printer has gone south. When I install printer (hp612c). Printer installs, then asked if I want to print test page. Printer starts to pull paper through then stops. Print que sez print page printing , then print que starts adding print jobs that are all one byte. I have watched the que go to 253 before stopping. i then have to delete all jobs. When I attempt to reboot system takes up to 10 minutes to reboot. Plus system comes up and states wowexec is not responding. Help!

 

HP says the deskjet 612c drivers on the 2K install CD are the most current so they should be fine.

Was your install clean or did you upgrade from another OS? If upgrade, from what?

And one quick thing to try is to stop spooler service and restart it. Then try to print.
