Windows Vista How to disable Ctrl+Esc?

I know this sounds silly but it really annoying when you have been playing for an hour you are crouched down because someone is shooting at you and then you are just about to save and the game closes on you...

I know it only brings up the start menu but for most games it closes them, is there anyway to disable this hotkey as if i wanted my start menu i would just click on it..

You can write a program to change the function of any keystroke, or download one (e.g.to make the key insert a nul character): see this page. You load the program into memory prior to loading the game.
