    Certain letters on my laptop keyboard will not work. I've already tried retoring the system to an earlier date and reinstalled Windows.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS Forums.

    I highly doubt this is a malware related problem. In the 2 and half years I have done HJT analysis, I can't recall any malware disabling keys on any keyboard. (of course having said that, it will turn out to be just that :p )

    This is more than likely a problem with thoes keys specifically. Unless you had some sort massive malware problems, rootkits, spambots all sorts of other things your best place for this would be in the XP forum. Or hardware forum?

    I'll move it to the appropriate one.

    One note:
    One thing of Vital Importance, I notice your OS/IE is not properly updated, please go to the Windows Update page, and load up all 'Critical Updates'. As this will ensure your IE is as protected as is possible. Follow this link:
