If someone that understands this jargon can point out what to do with this information pleaaase do. I have just had to repair windows cause I had a corrupt registry and my Sata driver had to be reistalled as well. I paid the geek squad 250.00 for them to tell me my corsair 3200 twinstick memory (512 of it) was bad and corrupt. it takes my computer about 4-5 minutes after getting into wiindows to access anything in the windows environment. It just hangs idle then it frees up like 5 minutes later.

    I have entry point errors
I have a program new.net trying to install but has missing files.

Oh god HELP, this is driving me nuts!

    Thank you,

    upholder, the Noob poster child

    Hello, welcome to the boards.
You have a very bad Trojan virus on your system, a HOSTS file redirect that takes you to a fake MSN search page, and a few other things.

Download the trial version of ewido security suite.
Install ewido security suite and start the program from the icon on your desktop, then check for and download updates. Close for now.
    Ewido Setup

    Disable System Restore.

You need to unzip HJT into it's own folder, remember the warning it gave you about this? It works better this way.

Open HJT, and click on 'Open misc tools section', then click on "Delete a file on reboot', a File Open window will appear. Copy/Paste the following into it.

    C:\WINDOWS\System32\svcnet.exe

Then click on Open, and you will be prompted to reboot, select No at this time.

Rescan with HJT, and remove these items.

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Daily Weather Forecast] C:\Program Files\Daily Weather Forecast\weather.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [CrazyTalk Serve] rundll32.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\CrazyTalk.dll,DllServeMediaFile

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Shellapi32] svcnet.exe

    Reboot into Safe Mode.
Delete all files and folders located in these folders.
    C:\Windows\Prefetch
    C:\Windows\Temp
    C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Temp

    Delete this folder.
    C:\Program Files\ProSiteFinder

    Now run the Ewido scan.

Then reboot in Normal mode, enable System Restore. Then post a new log.

You have no evidence of an AV program, you could get a good free one. AVG by Grisoft. Those items in orange I recommend are items I am not positive about. The Crazytalk reportedly can be installed by something else, although it is a legitimate downloaded program.
