hibernateproblem

    When my son closed his computer he pressed hibernate by mistake and now the computer is DEAD! He can't get it on anymore. What to do?
    He's using XP.

    Have you tried removing the power cord, waiting 60 seconds or so, and replacing the power cord?

    If not, give it a try. If you have already tried that, he may have had a hardware component go bad.
