I have set my bios to allow hibernation
I have set my power management to allow it.

When I shutdown and select Hibernate, the screen blacks out for a second and then comes back on. Motors are still running

I tried to test it by using the power management to force hibernate after one minute. After that time it did the same thing: blacked out and came right back

Any useful information for you Here?

Or try doing a search in the XP section using hibernation and see if any of the 20 other topics there are useful.

I've checked all of the suggestions offered here and nothing is on point. I only have 512M memory so the 1G problem does not exist

No one else has addressed my problem so I will have to wait for more ideas
