I have a problem, earlier today i tried to install a log in screen to my computer using the following directions:

"In Explorer, browse to C:\Windows\System32 and find the file named "logonui.exe ".
Rename "logonui.exe" to "logonui.exe.bak ". This way if anything messes up...you have a backup.
Place your new login in C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32 and rename it to logonui.exe.
That's it! Now when you log off your new login screen will be there. "

So, i followed the instructions, but now whenever i want to change my profile on windows, or even just to log off it says: only Administrator can unlock computer.

So, is there any way to fix this or should i call windows customer support?

Btw: I'm running on windows xp 2000

Isaac Dan - Welcome to the Board :)

I don't think MS would be very helpful in the case of a 'self inflicted' problem :)

Best suggestion is a Sysyem Restore to the point before you altered the log in screen.
