help with administrator priveledges

i just installed a game a couple days ago, and when i went to play it it told me that i had to have administrator priveledges to use the program. I logged on as the administrator and it still wouldnt let me! what is going on? I set the priveledges on all my users to administrator and nothing happened? any suggestions?

Some games - especially older ones - just won't run under 2K. Ever. At all.

What specific error(s) you getting now?

Anything of interest in the event logs about the failure?

im trying to install the sims livin large. I used to be able to play american mgee's alice but then the error popped up, all the error says is to "please log on with administrator priveledges and try again" and i have the priveledges set...what is going on

 

Make sure you have SP2 installed (or SP3 that is out now) and check This Page for setting the game to run in Compatibility Mode (very similar to the one in XP but only available /w SP2 or later).
