Help Moving Programs

Hello Everone,
Have new computer up and running. OS XP Pro and SP2 installed. Is there any way to transfer all programs from old computer to new one? Or, do I have to install each one as individual program on the new computer? (28 programs).Tell me there is an easy way out. Thanks for any help.

 

There really isn't an easy way. Most programs install all sorts of files all over the drive and make numerous entries in the registry. It would probably take you days, if not weeks, to identify, locate and transfer everything needed to get each program to run on the new computer, assuming it could all be identified in the first place. Compared to maybe a couple of hours to get 28 programs installed, I think I'd just start installing.
