    Hi all,
i was wondering, is there a program that can fix multiple errors on a hard drive. i have a wd 20gb hdd, and when i try and format it, it tells me trying to recover certain sectors. when i try and use the drive, it seems like it takes forever to copy windows onto the disk. please help

Check the date of mfg on the drive and if its less than 3 years old, chances are good you are still under warranty. (Newer drives coming with only 1 year)

Back up anything and everything you must save and then either send the drive off for warranty replacement or buy a new drive. You can run a scan disk from the command prompt and it will mark bad sectors but if the drive is going its only going to get worse.

Any potential software fix for the drive is going to cost you about the same as a new drive - got the picture? Spin-Rite may help, but thats going to cost more than a 20GB drive.

    ;)
