I looked at my log of errors committed by window XP, yesterday, and found that a "bock" in a six month old hard drive is bad. Ran disk check. and Defrag. I'm already experiencing problems with recognition of USB connected folders missing. Should I be able to have the drive replaced by Best Buy or is this something I caused that won't be covered by Manf. warranty?

Go to the drive manufacturer's web site and download their hard drive diagnostic program - run it and if problems are revealed RMA the drive.

Unlikely to be the result of anything you have done.
