Hi,
I have been using a computer since 1993 started with the Commondor 64, my son's cast off.

I am a retired teacher and used the computer a lot for school stuff.

I was a member of a BBS in those days and joined several conferences that helped with the techie stuff. I did learn a lot about DOS commands etc.

But have not kept up with the tech side of things. I do a lot of graphic work, photos and videos.

My PC was store constructed and I am running on Windows XP Home.

I have been away for a year and I have a lap top also with Windows XP Home.

Since I got home my internet connection has changed to wireless and lots of things are going wrong with the PC. I have loads of register errors and some programs are no longer loading..e.g. U-lead PhotoImpact 10 refuses to open and it has changed ownership since I left.

Anyway, found this site and thought I would register and learn something from you gurus that are probably more familiar with common errors.
