Google Instant

I am not a fan of the new Google Instant. I hate when search suggestions are made as well as any other suggestions as I'm typing. You can set your Google Preferences to how you want, even disable Instant. But that must be done every time you clear the cookies cache. To always have Google Instant disabled, use this link:

Bings calls em "Suggestions" and I use em all the time.

Instant is a bit different than suggestion, it actually shows results for what you have typed so far. For example, it you want to search using a compound word you start seeing results for the first word, then the second, etc.
