Google desktop search appears

    Something called Google Desktop Search keeps appearing on my taskbar. Both my wife and my only child currently at home say they know nothing about it. It appears on the Start Menu as well as a new program. I uninstall it, but it reappears a few days later. It doesn't seem to be doing any harm, but I would kind of like to know why it keeps appearing. Any clues, anyone?

    According to the site, it automatically starts when you boot the computer. There should be an entry in Add/Remove to uninstall it. It's probably harmless, but I have declined to install it because I don't think Google needs to add the contents of my hard drive to their database.
