    bob here,i have found that using stop-sign by Eacceleration is good for virus protection and diskeeper is a faster defragmenter than what is provided by the computer manufacturers.if this info. comes in handy for anyone on the board let me know because i'm always happy to help when i can.rrreid

    If you use XP, you are running a version of diskeeper. Their paid version is absolutely faster and more efficient. OTOH, it is not free.

    I saw a huge speed increase with the 'native' version when I upped memory on my PC from 512Mb to 1Gb. It works well enough to keep me happy but I do understand that some folks want the extra speed or the additional features.
