    is there a way to upload a site using an FTP client in a free geocities web space, instead of using their filemanager ?

    FTP on geocities

    It clearly shows on the comparison chart Here that FTP is not available on the Free space only on the Plus & Pro packages

    Yes, actually, you're right, it is not possible to use an FTP client, in a free web space provided by geocities.
