Generic Host Process Win32 Error

Sorry for starting my own topic, but my problem seems to be different from others I have seen. I get the error, but I can still use my computer and connect to the net and such. Not sure how I got this error because I have not installed anything as of late besides Windows Updates. This error does seem to affect my volumn though.

I did find this topic on the Windows website, but not sure if the download they give will fix my problem or not, nor which one to use. My OS is Windows Media.

When I open my error report these are the files it lists:

C:\DOCUME~1\melissa\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERc0d4.dir00\svchost.exe.mdmp

C:\DOCUME~1\melissa\LOCALS~1\Temp\WERc0d4.dir00\appcompat.txt

Any help on fixing this problem is really appreciated! Thanks!
