    Hi Mark,

Here is what it is: http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/gcasDtServ/

If you do the google search, there apparently is a worm masquerading as this program http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=gcasDtServ.exe&btnG=Google+Search

I can't tell you 100% that this is not the worm, but if you're not experiencing problems, chances are this is a false positive on the part of Spyware Doctor. If tracking down those references doesn't ease your mind, then I would get in touch with SD and ask them.

Right now, if you "fixed" this problem, MS AS would stop working. Or, you can disable the real time protection temporarily - that would get it out of the startups and see what you come up with then. That would tell you whether SD flagged gcasDtServ by heuristics (behavior) or by signiture (name).

You can also get a 2nd opinion - download and install ewido http://www.ewido.net/en/download/ and after the install, go online and update it.

When installing - do not enable the real time protection, you want to use it as a scanner.

    Regards - Charles
