    Hi All,
Question: How do you know for sure whether you have a full install disk of WIN XP or just a recovery disk(Before you need to know for sure)?
    TIA.
    Mickzer.

mickzer--I think you have to ask the manufacturer of the PC. Sometimes you can tell from the words on the CD or from the manual you got with the PC. If you are skilled, you can see from the options offered when you put the CD into your CD-ROM drive.
Or those who are very knowledgeable here may be able to tell you if you post the make and model of your PC.

Put the cd in the drive and let it do it's autorun thing. When the autrun window opens it should look like my attached pic if it's an XP disk.

    Thanks Zander,

That's exactly what I get so, does that mean I DEFINITELY have the full install disk?
    Thanks again.

Ok. Thanks to all. It's nice to be sure I have the full install disk in case I have to do a repair install.
