I see that Forte's Free Agent is no longer available for download. Instead all that is offered is a free download of their Agent for which you will eventually have to pay $30. I'm looking for a free newsreader and I stumbled upon the Nomad Reader. You can find it here: http://www.nomadnews.com/

Does anyone have any experience or information about this newsreader?

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

Ah. I should have clarified my original question more. I'm looking for a newsgroup reader... similar to what one finds in Outlook Express or Thunderbird. Similar to what Free Agent used to offer. That's why I mentioned Nomad. I'm not looking for an RSS Reader. Thanks.

    Nomad Newsgroup Reader

I have used Free Agent for a long time but recently switched to Nomad. I have been very pleased with it in almost every respect. I have had only one problem I haven't solved yet which is when trying to download headers for a newsgroup with over 6 million (yeah million) headers. I have had excellent results for newsgroups with well over 100,000 headers.

Nomad is set up for pictures but does read text also. The help files could have more detail but I have been able to figure out a lot from them anyway.
